Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2, 2026

These terms cover use of this website. They do not govern a client engagement — that is set out in a separate engagement letter signed before work begins.

This site is general information, not advice

Everything published here describes how tax rules generally work and what services we offer. It is not tax advice for your situation and should not be acted on as though it were.

Tax outcomes turn on facts that differ from person to person — residency dates, account balances, filing history, treaty eligibility, and prior-year positions all change the answer. A page written for the general case cannot account for yours.

Reading this site does not make you a client

No practitioner-client relationship is created by reading these pages, submitting the contact form, or exchanging initial emails. An engagement begins when we have agreed scope and fee and a signed engagement letter is in place.

Accuracy and currency

Tax rules change, and figures such as thresholds and deadlines change with them. We review this content and date what we publish, but no page is guaranteed to reflect the law as it stands on the day you read it. Where a page states a figure, verify it against the current IRS or FinCEN source before relying on it — every page links to those sources for that reason.

What we are and are not

We are not a CPA firm and do not describe ourselves as one, and we provide no audit or attest services. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or employed by the Internal Revenue Service or any government agency.

No guaranteed outcomes

We do not promise a refund, a refund amount, a tax saving, or any particular result, and nothing on this site should be read as promising one. What we commit to is preparing returns accurately and taking only positions that can be supported.

Links to other sites

We link to IRS, FinCEN, and state revenue websites because they are the authoritative sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.

Using this site

You may read, print, and share this content for your own use. Please do not republish it as your own, scrape it in bulk, or attempt to interfere with the site or its services.

Limitation of liability

This website is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, Soham Accounting is not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published here. This does not limit any responsibility we have to clients under a signed engagement, which is governed by that engagement letter.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Federal tax practice is governed by federal law and by Treasury Department Circular 230.
